Directions:
The 1828 Trail in
is at 10 West Main Street, next to the Monterey House.
From the towpath or rail trail in Hancock,
cross the parking lot and Main Street. We are the large gray Craftsman
house next to the Monterey House. To find parking, proceed up
Church Street to High Street. Turn left on High. Our parking lot
is the first left drive on High (sign at the left of the entrance).
Just leave the bikes in the parking lot and come in the upper
back entrance to the house. We will lock up bicycles in the red
building.
From the Baltimore-Washington area, take
I-70 West to Exit 3 - Hancock (exits from the left). Turn right
at the bottom of the ramp, which is Main Street. Come into town
to Church Street (Lockhouse Restaurant is on the left). Turn right
on Church, proceed to the top of the hill to High Street. Turn
left on High. The driveway to our parking lot is the first left
on High (sign at the left of the entrance).
From I-68 and I-70 East, take left exit
1-B (Rt. 522 to Hancock, Berkeley Springs, and Winchester). Follow
the signs to Hancock. At Main Street, turn left. Go one block.
Turn left on Virginia Ave. at Sheetz. Go one block to High Street.
Turn right on High, and proceed 4 plus blocks to the Inn Parking
sign on the right.
